STEP 2: PRINT THE PLANS

Second, print that planset. Grab it while it’s hot off the press for warmth cause it’s cold out there.

STEP 3: CHECK OUT THOSE PLANS IN AUGMENTED REALITY

Open the app and point it at the plans. 3D models will instantly align to the plan documents. Voila.

Printing Instructions:

You can print one, several, or all of these sheets. They work separately or together?the app automatically recognizes which drawing you?re looking at.

Important: Drawings must be printed at their proper scale.

The standard drawing set is 24 x 36, and we have included some sheets at 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 17 if you don?t have a plotter handy.

This demo was only made for iOS, however, we can make this exact functionality for Android if needed for your project. Just ask.

Make sure there is no scaling happening in your print. The app uses the camera?s exact image size to figure out where the AR model should be placed. This means even 5% scaling by the printer would result in misalignment.

Yes, absolutely. This demo is only an example of commonly requested features?your imagination is the limit. We work individually with our clients to make sure the app is exactly what they need. We write software. That?s why we?re here.

No problem. Because this is a custom solution and we speak architecture, any 3D modeling software will work with this application. If it?s a BIM solution capable of exporting IFC, we can also get metadata into the application.

Make sure the print is clear, the page is well lite and free of any harsh shadows, writing, or wrinkles. The app is comparing the image its sees on camera with the one its memory.
